Robert E. Nolte, 80, of Falls City, NE, passed away March 18, 2008 at Falls City. He was born December 11, 1927 at Falls City to the late Everett and Edna (Scheitel) Nolte.
On December 28, 1949 he married Roseann Darveau at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Falls City.
Bob was raised in the Falls City area and attended District 54 School through the 8th grade and graduated from Falls City High School in 1945. The couple made their home on a farm south of Falls City where Bob farmed. In the late 1960's and early 1970's he worked as a carpenter for Norm Lape and Bob Joy. He retired from farming in 1980 and then worked as a jailer for the Richardson County Sheriff, retiring on September 4, 1998. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Falls City.
Bob is survived by his wife, Roseann of Falls City, sons, Francis and wife Donna of Falls City, Robert, Jr. and wife Connie of Tennessee, Kevin and wife Ginny of Falls City, Sean and wife Angie of Falls City, Dennis of Falls City, Darrin and wife Renee of Stuart, FL, daughter, Kathy Keithley and husband Jon of Falls City, twenty-one grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Everett Nolte, Jr.
The body of Mr. Nolte has been cremated and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Falls City, with Monsignor Robert A. Roh as the presiding priest. Inurnment will be in Falls City Catholic Cemetery.
A Parish Rosary will be recited on Monday, March 24, 2008 at 7:30 PM at the Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with the family receiving friends following the Rosary.
The family prefers memorials be made to Family Choice.
