Maryette was the daughter of Squire William Davis Chace and Sarah Gardener.
Dr. Squire William Davis Chace was born 1803 in Galway, Saratoga, New York. His father was George Chace, a native of Massachusetts who emigrated to New York in 1800.
Sarah Gardener was born 25 Dec 1805 in Hancock, Berkshire Co., Massachusetts, and died 18 May 1876 in Hudson, Lenawee Co., Michigan. Her parents were Palmer Gardner 1775-1817 and Rhoda Greene 1781-1852.

Maryette married first, Guy L. Waughop, on December 28, 1865. He was born January 14, 1844 and died February 5, 1868.
Child:
Fred Huddleston, b. October 29, 1866, d. January 29, 1895. He later took the last name Adams from his stepfather.
She married second, Francis Adams, Sr., on August 26, 1875 in Wabasha, MN.
Children:
1. Florence, b. February 5, 1877, d. February 7, 1916
2. John C., b. August 4, 1878, d. April 23, 1880
3. Frances E. b. April 10, 1880, d. April 22, 1881
4. Francis Jr., b. June 18, 1882, d. January 11, 1949
