Mrs. M. Blanche, wife of Harry M. Black, and oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Smith, of Finksburg, died Thursday morning, March 27th 1919 at the Maryland General Hospital in Baltimore. She was taken to the Hospital Sunday afternoon, March 23, and was operated on the following Monday and was getting along nicely until later, pneumonia developed. She was aged 26 years, 2 months and 27 days. Her husband and two small sons, Allan, 8 years and Emerson, 4 years; two sisters and two brothers: Annie E., Golda May, Charles H. and H. Guy. Mrs. Black was a member of Finksburg M.P. Church and a member of W.C.T.U. and Ladies Aid Society. Funeral was held on Sunday morning from the residence of her parents where she was taken ill, Her death came as a great shock to her family and many friends. She was always very active and was only sick for a few days. Funeral was held on Sunday morning, March 30, 1919, at the M.P. Church. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. N.C. Clough conducted the service. Mr. Eline, of Reisterstown, funeral director.
