Mrs. Miller was born in Osceola, Missouri, to Jattie Morgan and Leona (Akers) Rush. Her siblings were Mary Frances, Susan Morgan, George Webster, Edna, Lucy May, Georgie Lee Carney, Wilma Charlott, John Merle (her twin brother), Joseph Edward, Josephine, Letha Lorraine and Lela Pauline.

She lived in Buckner most of her life. She was a Baptist.

Her survivors include her husband, Leo M. Miller of the home; four sons, John Lewis Miller, Phoenix, Arizona, Larry Junior Miller, Buckner, Virgil Morgan Miller, Sibley, and Marvin Eugene Miller, Kansas City, Kansas; two daughters, Donna Ruth Schnittker, Eldon, Missouri and Mary Louise Conklin, Independence; a sister, Josephine Greenfield, Clinton, Missouri; 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
