Martha Myrtle Jordan
Martha Myrtle Jordan, 85, of Mt. Alto died Monday, June 2, 1997, at Care Haven of Point Pleasant.
She retired, after 17 and a half years of employment, as supervisor of housekeeping at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant. She was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church on Chestnut Ridge.
Born February 22, 1912 in Webster Springs (Nicholas County), she was a daughter of the late Charley and Allie (George) Morgan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Franklin Jordan; a granddaughter; two brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mavis and Charles Weaver of Mt. Alto; two sons and a daughter-in-law, James L. "Jim" Jordan of Mt. Alto and Milford and Jean Morgan of Mt. Alto; two brothers, Charles Morgan of Akron, Ohio and Henry Morgan of Akron, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, with Rev. Herman H. Jordan and Rev. Kenneth Durst officiating. Burial will follow in the Blaine Memorial Cemetery, Cottageville.
Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, June 4, from 6 to 9 p.m.
