Del Norte welder, Glen L. Black, died April 10 in Walsenburg, following a welding accident. He was 41. He was born April 13, 1943 in Laverne, Oklahoma to Gerald and Ailene Lamunyon Black. He married Ginger Gagne on May 14, 1975 in Newkirk, Oklahoma.
Mr. Black was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and a member of the National Rifleman’s Association. Before moving to Del Norte in January, he lived in Oklahoma.
Surviving are his wife and parents; son, Leroy, Del Norte; three daughters, Deanna Winchester, Bever, Oklahoma; Mary Dowell and Nora Dowell, both of Ponca City, Oklahoma; two brothers, Marvin, Columbus Georgia and Stanley, Laverne, Oklahoma; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held April 13 at Chambers and Sharp Chapel in Del Norte with Rev. Carroll Moroney officiating. Burial was in the Del Norte cemetery.
