Kenneth C. "Ken" Johannessen, 62 of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Aurora passed away October 14, 2003. He was born November 12, 1940 in Aurora, IL, the son of the late George and Katheryn Johannessen. Ken was a self-employed commerical artist in Aurora, IL and Las Vegas, NV until his retirement. He was also a Vietnam Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann (Hensley); his son, Todd of Washington, D.C.; his brother, Gene (Janet) Johannessen of Oswego; his nieces, Terri (Dave) Clever, Dana (Joe) Hopp of Aurora; a nephew, John (Lori) Johannessen of Sandwich; several great-nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held October 20 in Las Vegas, NV and another will be held November 8 at the Aurora Turner Club, 1335 Mitchell Rd., from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a hospice organization of your choice.
