He was a retired employee of Louisville Provision Co., and a member of Suburban Masonic Lodge and Highland United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Arthur L. Briel; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Fust; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11a.m. Tuesday at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 1201 E. Oak St.,with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
