Note: There are some errors in this obituary. Gloria's mother, Bertha Spaulding (identified as Bertha Spaulding Woodman) married Ora Harper on 16 Sep 1933, well after Gloria was born. In the 1940 census, Gloria is listed as Gloria J. Woodman. Thus, Ora Harper is her step-father, not her biological father. When Gloria married in 1950, she identified herself as Gloria Harper and listed Ora Harper as her father. Second, Social Security records and Michigan marriage records give Gloria's birth location as Charlotte, Michigan.
