"Born 2/13/1880 in New York. He came to Michigan as a infant with his parents. Married in 1912 to Miss Myra Carpenter.

"Mr. Bachelor operated as a commercial fisherman here for more than 35 years, later was employed for about 12 years by the Michigan Maple Block Company.

"He was a member of the First Methodist church.

"Survived by: wife; sons Donald of Fort Belvoir, VA, Norman of Bedford, PA, Waldon of Detroit, MI; 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; sister Mrs [Edith] J.G. Kretch and brother Clarence of Long Beach, Calif."
