Masonic graveside rites held by Matador Masonic Lodge, followed in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Mr. Dickson had been a Lubbock resident since July of 1996 moving there from Matador where he had resided since 1991. He retired from Blue Cross - Blue Shied in 1978 as a Provider Relations representative. He had served as administrator of hospitals in Breckenridge, Sherman, Denton and Coleman.

He was a 1939 graduate of Texas A&M and a veteran of the US Navy during World War II.

Mr. Dickson was a Mason and had received a 50 year membership pin from Houston's Holland Masonic Lodge #1. He was Worshipful Master at Anson and Matador. He was a deacon and longtime Sunday school teacher in the Baptist Church. He was a member of Lubbock's Summit Baptist Church at the time of his death.

He was married to the former Jo Ann Narciso in 1940 at Houston.

Survivors: his wife - Jo Ann Dickson of Lubbock; two daughters - Margaret Stanley of Matador and Patsy Tippin of Andrews; five grandchildren - Jason Stanley, Jill Stanley, Russell Tippin, Rebecca Tippin; one nephew.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
