Abigail was a daughter of Charles and Lydia (Macomber) Stinson; a granddaughter of James and Mary (Robinson) Stinson; and great-granddaughter of Rev. Thomas and Catherine (Carr) Stinson who emigrated from Ulster to Maine. She married on 23 Dec. 1822 in Windsor, Maine, to George Russell Linn (1800-1886), son of John and Rebecca (Anderson) Linn. They had seven sons and three daughters.
