Walter Ambers Cox, 93, died Sunday, Nov. 25, at the V.A. Hospital in Salem.

He was a veteran of World War I.

Surviving are his wife, Romania Young Cox; one son, Melvin E, Cox; two daughters, Mrs. G. M. (Jessie) Skeens and Mrs. Don (Garnie) Williams; one sister, Lilly Roop; one brother, Perry Cox; one half brother, Rev. Elbert Cox; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Seaver- Sanders Funeral Home, with the Rev. Orlando Salazar officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park, Radford. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Seaver-Sanders Funeral Home.
