"Roma Pauline Evans Smith, 94, of Moultrie, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

"Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 2, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Woods and Mr. Butch Rabenstein officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens. Casketbearers will be C.J. Bateman, Taylor Dekalb, Jay Jones, Wavelle Robinson, Glenn Evans and Tony Smith. Honorary casketbearers will be members of the Marilyn Hay Sunday School Class.

"Born Dec. 17, 1916, in Havana, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Aldean Evans and Clara Cleveland Evans Moore. She was a retired bookkeeper with Miami Christian College and was a member of First Baptist Church.

"She was preceded in death by her husband, William Orville Smith; one daughter, Clara Lynne Olsen; and two brothers, Clint Evans and Donald Evans.

"Survivors include two granddaughters, Rebecca Imre and husband Tom and Debra Smith and husband Lloyd, all of Moultrie; three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Barwick of Valdosta, C.J. Bateman and Jay Jones, both of Moultrie; and one sister-in-law, Peggy Evans of Miami, Fla.

"Arrangements have been entrusted to Cobb Funeral Chapel."
