Obit-Gonzales Inquirer Jan. 3, 1901

Died, at the home of his parents, in Gonzales, Texas, on Thursday, January 1, 1901, at 8:30 o'clock p.m. George Lachorn Lincecum, aged 14 years and 11 months, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. D. Lincecum. The funeral services will be held at the family residence at 3 o'clock this evening, after which the procession will move to the Masonic cemetery, where the interment will take place.

The citizens of Gonzales heard of the serious illness of George with sorrow and will sympathize with the family in his death. He was an excellent boy and was liked by all who knew him. He worked in his fathers store on North Avenue and was well known. During the holidays he was wounded in the hand by a toy pistol, and a part of the wad from the cartridge remained in the wound. He was in a serious condition before danger was apprehended.
