Clifford Leroy Parrish always used the name Leroy or Lee Roy. In 1920 he was a Methodist minister and later an accomplished self-employed architect and contractor. He specialized in building churches and large stone homes.

He divorced his first wife, Lilly Alice Foster Parrish in 1926 and married his second wife, Lena McFadden Frans Parrish, in 1927 in Kansas City.

He left Lena in Jefferson City, Missouri around 1931 and she subsequently returned to Wichita, Kansas to live again with her sister, Laura McFadden Patton. According to her divorce decree, Lena never heard from him again and she finally divorced him in 1953 after both Laura and her husband Daniel Patton died. Lena then moved to Passaic, New Jersey to live with another sister and died there in 1970. Her burial location is unknown.

Mabel (unknown maiden name) was his third wife.
