Cornithia Steward was born January 11, 1900 in Webb City, Arkansas and was married to Mr. William Steward in 1919. He preceded her in death in 1961, they had no children. She joined the Allena Baptist Church in Paris, Arkansas and was baptized by the late Rev. J. N. Nance. Later she moved to Newtown, Arkansas and joined Saint Matthew Baptist Church. She was president of the B.T.U. and treasure of the Sunday School and Pastor's Aide Club and the sick committee. Cornithia Steward died March 21, 1971.
