Married to actor James Gleason, Lucile was the mother of actor Russell Gleason. Lucile was the first treasurer of the Screen Actors Guild. Lucile appeared in 35 films from 1929 to 1945 including: "Klondike Annie," "Rhythm on the Range," "She's in the Army" and "The Clock."

Regarding the photo of James and Lucile with their dog: He was a wire haired fox terrier, that the dog's name was "Huckleberry" and that he was at one time the pet of actor Robert Armstrong ("King Kong", 1933), one of James' best friends. Armstrong acquired Huckleberry when he was appearing with James in the play, "Is Zat So?" on the London stage in the mid 1920s.
