Born Nov. 26, 1888, in the town of Schleswig, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Mueller, he married Flora Zerler at Sheboygan on June 22, 1916. The couple lived in Kiel, New Holstein and Sheboygan before moving to Plymouth in 1923. Mr. Mueller was co-owner of Gerber-Mueller Service Station in Plymouth from 1938-48, then worked at the Barker Lumber Co. at Plymouth for eight years, and had been employed at the Melvin Blanke Mink Ranch the past 15 years.
An active member of Salem United church of Christ, He was a member and past President of the Men’s Brotherhood of the church and member and captain of the Brotherhood dartball team for many years. He also served as the church custodian for many years.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Ruth) Watson of Greenbush, and Mrs. Melvin (Florence) Blanke of town of Plymouth; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; six sisters; Mrs. Wanda Reichardt, Mrs. Esther Mattes and Mrs. Wilma Kennecke, all of the Kiel area, Mrs. Ella Koeser of Sheboygan and Mrs. Gustave Nanz of the town of Lyndon; and two brothers, Hubert of Green Bay and Arnold of Sheboygan.
Funeral services will be at Salem United Church of Christ. The Rev. Lowell Ferguson and the Rev. Edmond Hennig will officiate. Burial will be in Plymouth Union cemetery.
