Laurie Ann Allred-Christianson Date: November 15, 1998 Laurie Ann Allred-Christianson, 33, of Midway, Utah passed away Thursday, November 12, 1998 in Payson, Utah. She was born November 26, 1964 in Provo, Utah to Rey Lyman and Mary Carol Hedquist Allred. She married Jay Grant Christianson January 15, 1995 in Midway. Laurie attended Payson schools and graduated from Payson High School. She attended U.V.S.C., B.Y.U. Hawaii, and the University of Utah graduating from there in Parks and Recreational Management. She also graduated from Utah Peace Officers Academy. Laurie was very athletic and an avid outdoors person, enjoying fishing, skiing, and scuba diving. She was very active and loved life. She worked for the Utah State Parks and Recreation for ten years, most recently at Wasatch Mountain State Park as a Park Ranger. She loved working with visitors in the park, however, due to illness she was unable to continue in the work she really enjoyed. Laurie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include her husband of Midway; three step-children: Jacob, Jennifer, Jayson Christianson, all of South Jordan; her parents of Payson; and three sisters: Debra (Randy) Cloward of Payson; Becky (Dan) Ellsworth of Payson; and Marianne (Chris) Helvey of Woodland Hills. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bryan Rey Allred. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Payson 7th Ward Chapel, 711 South 600 East. Friends may call on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork, or on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the existing Laurie Allred-Christianson Endowed Scholarship Fund at the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism, University of Utah, 300 South 1850 East, Room 259, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84112.
