Dorothy Catherine Defnet, age 96, a resident of New Mexico since 1948, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 1998.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Susan M. Defnet and her husband, Leon Naffziger of Rio Rancho, NM, son, Joseph J. Defnet and his wife, Patricia of Santa Fé, NM, great-grandchildren, Robert J. Defnet and Roger Vella os Sydney, Australia, Thomas J. Defnet and Kris Boeckenstedt of Denver, CO, Paul D. Defnet and his wife, Nancy of Virginia Beach, VA, Michelle M. Defnet, Sarah C. Defnet, both of Santa Fé, NM, and Kathleen A. Defnet of Albuqerque, great-great-grandsons, Michael Anthony Defnet and his mother, Lynn Day, both of Oklahoma City, OK, Jeremiah S. Defnet of Albuquerque, Brandon and Paul D. Defnet Jr., both of Viriginia Beach, VA, sister, Constance LeClair of Wisconsin and brothers, John LeClair and his wife, Lucille, Victor LeClair Jr. and his wife, Janet, Dale LeClair and his wife, Joan, all of Wisconsin.
Mrs. Defnet was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Defnet in 1972 and son, Robert J. Defnet in 1955.

Friends may visit French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE on Thursday from 5:30 p.m. until the time of the Rosary. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, September 17, 1998 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas NE, with Mrs. Sara Armijo, reciting. Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE with Father Joseph La Voie, Celebrant. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren.
