Dennis J. Austin, Sr., age 70, of Fenton, died Thursday, October 13, 2011.
Dennis was born November 14, 1940 in Flint Township, the son of Warren Austin and Beotta (Alexander) Austin. He was an active member of the First Flint Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was an avid sports fan who followed local high school and Detroit sports. He retired from General Motors, where he was a loyal employee for 35 years.
Surviving were 4 children, Dennis Jr. (LeAnn), Stacy (Don) Gruber, Phillip and Angelia; grandchildren, Caleb, Andrew, Jennifer, Donovan, Savanna and Joshua; siblings, Ed (Janet), Doug, Jerry (Carol), Caroline (Virgol) Estep, Steve, Donna (Dave) Buning and Veralyn (Darrell) Matney; many nieces and nephews.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Allen Lee Austin.
