Atlas Reeder Brann was a theater carpenter in Cincinnati who later became a stage manager in Minneapolis and Port Huron. He would marry a divorced or widowed English woman, Anna Elizabeth (née Bagley) Stover. They had one daughter together, Alice. Atlas Reeder Brann was named after a cousin, Atlas G. Reeder (b. 1824, d. 1895) who was a renowned Cincinnati stage carpenter. His father, Jeremiah Brann, was also a stage carpenter but died prematurely from Cholera when Atlas was 3-years old.
Served in the Indian Wars under the alias Harry Walters. Harry and Walter were the names of his nephews. E 9 U.S. Inf.; B Music Boys Gen. Serv. U.S.A.; K 1 U.S. Cavalry, service from 1 Oct 1868 to 1 Oct 1871.
Died from jaw cancer.
