Gordia was born into the large family of Henry & Pearl Westbrook Dodd, out in the country on a place called "Double Knobs"..it was 2 little hills side by side, & that's where the name came from..he married Mary Elizabeth Whetstone Ogle on 3/11/1954 in Laredo, Tx..He didn't get alot of formal education, leaving school in the 3rd grade, to help the family, but he was a very wize man, in the school of life..he tried to sign up for the military,to fight for our country, but wasn't accepted, due to having a fungus in his lungs..durring his life, he worked as a milkman, had a gas station, & did road construction..the last company he worked for was Strain bro..He was extreemly dedicated to his family, & loved them more than life itself..his brothers & sisters names are: Robert, Clarence, Edgar, Exie,Cleora,Oleta,Leonia, & Dorothy..He died from COPD & EMPHYSEMA, after a 7 year battle..He's survived by his wife, Mary, daughters Donnie (& husband Orvel) Oringderff, & Susie Dodd..grandchildren: Terri Oringderff Stephens Behrens, Jon-Thomas Dodd, Richard Wayne Oringderff, & Suni-Brook Elizabeth Dodd...great grandchildren are: Brett Michael Stephens, Cheyanne Taylor Dodd, Paige Emilee Dodd, Ethan August Dodd, Allison LeeAnn Behrens, & Mason William Behrens...
