Entertainer, Revue Director. Born Ernst Ragnar Johansson, he started his career touring the countryside of Sweden playing ”Rustic comedy” and vaudeville. In the 1920´s he made his name when establishing his revues, which came to be leading in all Scandinavia. A revue by Ernst Rolf was designated by a dazzling set, first class actors and stirring music. In spite of his success, personal and economical problems made him try to take his own life. After drinking a bottle of brandy, he threw himself into the ocean, but survived. Instead he caught pneumonia, and died on Christmas Day 1932.
