Here is her OBIT: Found January 5, 1956 on page 2 of the Janesville Daily Gazette: MRS. CORNELIUS HAYES---Mrs Margaret J. Hayes, 76 of 443 N. Chatham St., widow of Cornelius J. Hayes, Janesville contractor, died at 10 p.m. Wednesday (4th) in Mercy Hospital. She suffered a fractured hip in a fall a month ago. The former Margaret Condon, daughter of David and Bridget Ryan Condon, was born in Utica, Dane County, April 28, 1879. She was married to Cornelius J. Hayes in ST. Joseph's Catholic church Ederton, in June 1905. Mr. Hayes died in 1922 and a daughter, Mrs. Helen Miltimore died in 1937. Surviving are one daughter; Mrs Thomas E. Dowd, Joliet, Ill; four grandchildren, Susan and Patricia Dowd, Joliet; Thomas Miltimore, student at the University of Illinois , and Richard Miltimore in the U. S. Air Force; one great-grandson, Michael Miltimore, Rockford; one sister Miss Nora Condon, Janesville. Services....Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery...."
