Pauline Velma Flicker was born in Elkhart, Indiana, the daughter of Henry Flicker (1875 - 1933) and Sarah Minnie Spade Flicker (1878 - 1928). She met her husband, Walter Barnes Criger in Elkhart and they were married September 3, 1927 in Elkhart. They were the parents of four children. In time, the family moved to Tucson, Arizona, living across the street from Walter's parents, Lou and Belle Wolhaupter Criger. They lost their home to a fire, but luckily no one was injured. Walter worked in the bakery business and they had a home on Stone Avenue in Tucson for many years. Pauline passed away in March 1985 and is buried in the South Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Tucson, where her husband Walter Criger is also buried.
