Mr. William W. "Bill" King, 93, of Cerulean, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, at 5:45 p.m. at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz, of natural causes.
Born August 27, 1915, in Lyon county, a son of the late John Thomas and Mamie Ladd King, he was a member of Cerulean Baptist Church, retired correctional officer from the Kentucky State Pennitentiary, farmer, and a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in World War 11.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Grace Dunning King in 1998; a son, Garey Warren King in 1992; two brothers; Cecil King and Rufus King; and four sisters, Louise Gray, Francis Oliver, Lucy Mae Wynn and Lola Cherry.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 3, at 11 a.m. at King's Funeral Home in Cadiz.
Burial followed in Caldwell Blue Spring Cemetery, with full military rites.
