Ianthia M. Ashburn Bussells, 79, of Weems died November 3, 2003, daughter of the late Milton and Nettie Ashburn of Weems. Mrs. Bussells was preceded in death by her husband, Col. (Ret.) Chatham Preston Bussells. She is survived by her three daughters, Brenda Pollard Bussells, Bertrand, Cynthia Bussells Bray, Dumfries, and JoAnn Bussells Barton, Richmond; brother, Don Milton Ashburn, Yorktown; aunt, Esther Dameron Delano, Fleets Bay; uncle, James Dameron, Richmond; six grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, two nieces; devoted and loving friend, Wylie Hall of Weems. Mrs. Bussells was a former member of the Lancaster County School Board and a long time member of Claybrook Baptist Church. Because of her love for children and their welfare, donations can be made to the Claybrook Baptist Church Youth Fund in lieu of flowers. Funeral services 2 p.m. Friday, November 7, at Claybrook Baptist Church, Weems. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, November 6, at the Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock.
