Norman Lee Murray, 68, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, died March 21, 2007, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 29, 1938, in Hood River, Ore., to Daniel Murray and Etta Neff Murray. He grew up and attended schools in Hood River. He attended Oregon State University.
In 1977, he married Betty Mayguinnes. They were later divorced.
He was employed by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management for 30 years as well as being a horseman and cattle (rough stock) rancher. He lived in Carson City, Fallon and Lincoln, Calif.
He was a Christian.
He enjoyed cutting horses, bull riding with his son, reading and social gatherings with his friends and family. He was a beloved, hard-working man who took care of his children, friends and even strangers.
He is survived by his son, Richard (Nicole) Murray, of Idaho Falls; daughter, Michelle (Robert) White, of Fallon; step-sons, Andy Adams, of Cottonwood, Calif., and Hazen Adams, of Yerington; sister, Theda Mills, of Eugene, Ore., and eight grandchildren.
A wake will be held at the Elks Lodge in Carson City on Saturday, March 31, 2007, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Arrangements have been under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, Idaho.
