ERNEST H. ZAHN

Ernest H. Zahn, 71, of 937 S. 31st St., Manitowoc. died Friday afternoon at Holy
Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where he had been removed shortly before.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
The Rev. Paul H. Blaufuss will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial
Gardens, Town of Kossuth.
Mr. Zahn was born Sept. 25, 1889, at Reedsville, son of the late Herman and Johanna
Reinke Zahn. He married Alice Woller at Merrill Sept. 4, 1920, and the couple
resided at Merrill until coming to Manitowoc in 1944. Before his retirement five
years ago he was employed by Rahr's Inc. A veteran of World War I, Mr. Zahn served
May 17, 1917, until May 15, 1919, as a sergeant with the 120th Field Artillery in
France. Surviving are his wife, six daughters, three sons, 30 grandchildren and two
great grandchildren. A son, three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday.
