Harry married Pearl Frank in 1934 and the following was written by her about their early lives together:
"Harry and I met in August 1929, just before he entered college. He lived and worked in Columbia, Missouri until we were married. After our marriage on April 22, 1934, we lived in Alma, Missouri for a year--where he was in partnership with a college friend in a feed and egg business.
In January 1935 we moved to Gray Summit, Missouri (near St. Louis) where he worked for Purina Feed Co. for a year. On January 14, 1936 (in the midst of the depression) we moved to Kansas City where he worked at any job that came along until summer, when he got a job at Union Wire Rope.
We moved to Independence in May 1936, bought our first home, "Four Acre Farm" in September 1936 (on Morgan Road) and lived there 21 years. We then bought 2519 Queen Ridge Drive in Independence, Mo. in 1957 and lived many happy years there."
In additional to working at Union Wire Rope, Harry was the treasurer of Tuffy Credit Union for a number of years.
Pearl and Harry Miner were one of the founding families of a mission church started by the First Baptist Church of Independence, Missouri. They served God faithfully for many years at Susequehanna Baptist Church in Independence, Missouri.
