Shelby Jean Sanderson Scott, 72, of Athens, passed away Saturday at her residence.
Born November 20, 1938, in Capshaw, Alabama, Ms. Scott retired from Redstone Arsenal.
She is survived by her daughter, Dianna Troup of Athens; son, John Troup of Huntsville; sisters, Reba Walton of Overland Park, Kan., and Susie Serio of Huntsville; grandchildren, Hannah Troup and Evan Troup; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Athens City Cemetery. Spry Funeral Home of Athens is in charge of arrangements.
