Betty Clayton Grisham, 78, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 1:00 a.m. on Friday, July 13, 2012 at NHC Healthcare of Madisonville.
She was born on March 23, 1934 in Madisonville, KY to the late Verdie and Ruby Clayton. She was a teachers aide at Seminary School in Madisonville and was a member of Salem Primitive Baptist Church in Madisonville.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Nash; her second husband, Joe Grisham; her daughter, Donna Matheny; two brothers, Kenneth Clayton and J.W. Villines; and two sisters, Earlene Ferguson and Ann Harris.
She is survived by two brothers, Troy (Vada) Clayton of Madisonville and J.D. (Edna) Clayton of Florida; two sisters, Beatrice Stroud of Evansville, IN and Jo Nell Stanley of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 16, 2012 in Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY with Bro. John Gibson officiating. Burial to follow.
There will be no visitation. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of arrangements.
