RUFUS C. TAYLOR

Funeral service for Rufus Cleon Taylor, 61, who died Saturday morning at his residence in Jamestown, was held yesterday at Miles-Odum Chapel, conducted by the Rev C. E. Wallin and the Rev. Dennis Carter. Burial was in the Kettle Creek Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were B. H. Ridley, J. A. Stanfield, John Spaulding, Charles K. Crosby, F. E. Taylor and Carroll Alvarez.

Taylor is survived by his widow, the former Miss Odie Chaplin; five sisters, Mrs. Omer Herrin, Waycross, Mrs. Leroy Thigpen, Mrs. Jessie Googe and Mrs. Adriel Merrifield, all of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Harvey Cason, Brunswick; two brothers, Roy Taylor and H.L. Taylor, both of Jacksonville; several nieces and nephews.

Miles-Odum Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
