Claudia Ann (Wayne) Melior

Claudia Melio (age 72) died Friday, October 21, 2011 in her room at Maplewood Gardens in Spokane. Claudia Ann (Wayne) Melior was born December 6, 1938 in Wallace, Idaho to James and Mary Wayne. She attended Catholic schools and later attended North Idaho College where she studied to become a teacher. She married Walter Melior in 1959. They were married for 26 years before divorcing in 1985. They had two sons, Patrick and Bill. Claudia was a devout Catholic and spent many years working for the church and cleaning homes for the elderly. She loved to read and do crossword puzzles. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards and she loved cats. Claudia loved her life at Maplewood Gardens where she had many friends and enjoyed working at their little store. She was preceded in death by her parents and her younger sister Judy Campbell. She is survived by her son Pat, his wife Luanne and their daughter Jennifer of Post Falls; her son Bill, his wife Sharon and their son Josh also of Post Falls. She is also survived by her sister, Alice Ehrmantrout and her husband Dale of Spokane and many nieces and nephews. The family will be getting together for a potluck to celebrate her life on November 6, in Spokane.
