Martha Tilton Knowlton was the daughter of Joseph Tilton (1709-1779) and Abigail Brown (b, 1721). She married 22 Nov 1774 Nehemiah Knowlton at Ipswich MA. They were the parents of seven children: [1] Nehemiah Knowlton, [2] Asa Knowlton (d. young), [3] Martha Knowlton Cummings, [4] Benjamin Knowlton, [5] Josiah Knowlton, [6] Asa Knowlton, and Charles Knowlton.
