SALEM, Feb. 2-Funeral services for James Ivan Yates, 47, a former Salem resident who died Monday morning at Evansville, will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the Union Church. The Rev. James Abernathy and the Rev. Raymond Thurmond will officiate.
He is survived; by his wife, Mrs. Anna Yates; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Ann Ballard, Evansville; three sons, James Larry, Steven Ray and Larry Lee Yates, all of Evansville; his mother, Mrs. Mary Susie Yates, Evansville; and five sisters, Mrs. Mary Henry Wheeler and Mrs. Naomi Eskew, both of Marion, Mrs. Lillian Elliott, Hertford, N. and Mrs. Reba Young and Mrs. Sylvia both of Evansville.
