She was an honorary life member of the Women's Missionary Society of the Presbyterian church. She was an active member of the United Farm Women of Ontario from 1930 to 1950, and was president of that organization for a number of years. She was one of the founders and organizers of the Huron County Co-operative Medical Services, and was a director for the full time this service was in operation, from 1947 to 1969.
