Lester Brocious
PEARL CITY -- Lester Brocious of Pearl City died Monday in his home following an apparent heart attack.
He was born in Loran Township, Stephenson County, on May 28, 1885, the son of Peter and Susan (Meyers) Brocious. On Jan. 8, 1908, he married Edith Tyrell. She died in 1956. On April 24, 1958, he married Louise Randecker in Freeport.
Surviving are his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Lois) Buske of Lena, Mrs. Lowell (Helen) Willis of Warren, and Mrs. Donald (Florence) Shadle of Rockford; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and brother, Melvin of Thomson. In addition to his first wife, one son, a daughter, and two sisters preceded him in death.
The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Leamon Funeral Home, Lena. The Rev. Earl Hartman, the pastor of Eleroy Bible Church, of which Mr. Brocious was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in Ladies Union Cemetery at Stockton.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
