Waynesville - Lacy Jane Wood Allison, 93, of 31 Vintage Drive, Waynesville, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, at the Brian Center. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Erastus and Mary Modena Sutton Wood. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Award C. Allison, who died in 1993; two daughters, Lois Whitten and Pansy Allison; two sons, Hardin and Eddie Allison; five brothers; and three sisters. She was a member of Hemphill Baptist Church. Her family will remember her as a person who always put others before herself. She is survived by her daughter, Bobbie Sue Waldroup of El Paso, Texas; two sons, Don Allison and his wife, Dorothy, and Leon Allison and his wife, Darlene, both of Waynesville; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services with the Rev. Dewayne Rathbone and the Rev. Bobby Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Brown Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
