Gisli Ray Jones, 79, passed away July 3, 1988 in an Ogden care center. Born February 26, 1909 in Spanish Fork to Elias and Helga Bjarnason Jones. He married Jene Alleman in 1942. The marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1945. She died in 1981. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a Liberty Stake Mission. He was a bishop and high councilman in the Liberty Stake. He was a worker in the Salt Lake Temple. He graduated from Spanish Fork High School and BYU. He was a past employee of American Smelting and Refining Company and Kennecott, as a chemist and assayer. He retired in 1974. He is survived by one daughter, Lorraine Wixom, Ogden; four grandchildren; three sisters, Dora Jensen, Salt Lake City; Helga Bringhurst, Los Angeles, CA; Pearl Hammer, Riverside, CA
