Bettie Rusher, faithful wife of John Rusher, of Rowan County, N.C. was called from earth on February 21, 1896, She was born October 18, 1833; --aged 62 years, 5 months and three days. She was a faithful communicant of Salem Church and possessed a sweet and lovely disposition. "The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away." Her body was laid to rest in Salem graveyard on the day following her death, the pastor conducting the service. H.N.M.
