Carlton H. Friebele, 91 of Oswego, Illinois, passed away on May 11, 2000 at Countryside Care Center in Aurora. Mr. Friebele was born November 7, 1908 in Oswego, Illinois.
Mr. Friebele worked as a mechanic and was self-employed at Friebele Auto Repair from 1967-1985. Mr. Friebele was also employed at Zentmeyer for some 30 years, and was a Charter member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Florence Friebele; a brother, Joseph Friebele; and his sister, Alma Nally.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Friebele of Oswego, IL; a son, Charles (Donna) Friebele of Winfield, IL; and a sister, Marjorie (Earl) Zentmeyer of Montgomery, IL.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, May 14, 2000 at the Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 South Broadway, Montgomery, IL 60538. The family will accept friends from 6 pm until 8 pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 15, 2000 at 10 am at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Boulder Hill. The Rev. Peter Hoffman will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Montgomery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Mr. Friebele's memory to St. Luke's Lutheran Church. 630.892-9309.
