Elizabeth (Betty) Anderson, age 94, passed away July 12, 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born August 27, 1909 in Oklahoma to Roy and Ann Mabee. She married Aubrey (Blackie) Anderson February 16, 1930 in Los Angeles, CA. They resided in Anaheim, CA where they raised four children. After the death of her father and step-mother, she also raised her half brother and sister. In 1979 after the death of her husband she moved to West Bountiful to be closer to family. She had an outgoing, vivacious personality and enjoyed her life-long pursuits of playing the piano and raising African Violets. Over the years she belonged to many African Violet societies contributing award-winning African Violets. Much to the delight of her family, she played the piano with vitality and with a skill attained by few.

She is preceded in death by her husband, two children, George Thomas (Betty) Anderson, Arlene Jacqueline Anderson and by her grandson Michael Ray Anderson.

Survived by brother Roy Mabee and sister Virginia Mabee, children Carole Lynn Anderson and Ramon (Dawn) Anderson, daughter-in-law Betty Anderson, grandchildren, Sharon (Richard) Spratley, Sandra (Kenny) Lawrence, Virginia (Mark) Kemp, Debbie (Ron) Wind, Peter Anderson Polesso, Sharilyn (Jerry) Brull, Doreen (Marty) Simpson, Steven (Jamie) Anderson, Ashley Anderson, and 11 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 17, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah.
