Pratt, Ellen L.
Age 94, died August 4, 2010 in Chandler, AZ. She was born February 23, 1916 to Will and Ruth (Rawson) Kulenkamp in Bridgewater Township, MI. She attended Manchester High School and Eastern Michigan University where she graduated with a teaching degree. She taught school for many years including in a one room schoolhouse. She was an honorary member of the Manchester 20th Century Women's Club and a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star. On March 30, 1935 she married James Pratt who was engaged in farming, also in Bridgewater Township. In 1965 they retired from farming and moved to Manchester where she became her husband's secretary in his insurance business. She is survived by her two daughters: Barbara (Robert) Dubler of Sun Lakes, AZ and Marilyn (Michael) Mazer of Toms River, NJ. Also surviving is her daughter-in-law, Sheryl Pratt of Highlands Ranch, CO, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister, a brother and three sons, Roger, Gary and John Pratt. A memorial service will be held August 20, 2010, 11 a.m. at the United Church of Christ, Clinton, MI. Burial will be private
