JEFFERSON - Alfred "Buddy" A. Haberkorn, 69, of Watertown, formerly of Jefferson, passed away on Sept. 23, 2010, at the Bethesda Lutheran Communities in Watertown.

He was born in Watertown on Dec. 30, 1940, son of the late Bernard "Ben" and Wilhelmina (Meitner) Haberkorn.

Buddy was a member of the St. Coletta family from June of 1966 until his move to the Bethesda Communities in Feb. of 2009. He was an active member of St. Coletta community for over 43 years working in their work programs.

He will be deeply missed by his sisters, Dorothy Reinke of Waukesha and Rita (Robert) Lemminger of Menomonie Falls; sister-in-law, Leola Haberkorn of Watertown, and brother-in-law, Roy Haberman of Waterloo; 14 nieces and nephews; 27 great-nieces and nephews; and 16 greatgreat-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Joseph, Clarence, Edward and Francis; four sisters, Margaret Peschel, Lorraine Haberman, Mary Lenz and Dolores (Sr. Lorita S. S. N. D) Haberkorn; three brothers-in-law, George Peschel, Floyd Lenz and Robert Reinke; two sisters-in-law, Janice and Blanche Haberkorn; a nephew, Gus Jovanovich; and a niece, Kim Haberkorn.

Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 30, at the Chapel on the Bethesda Campus, Watertown, with the Rev.

Michael Schempf officiating. Burial will follow in St. Henry's Cemetery in Watertown.

Visitation will be on Thursday at the Chapel on the Bethesda Campus, 600 Hoffmann Drive, Watertown, from 1 p.m. until the time of service.

Memorials preferred to be given in Buddy's name to St. Coletta of Wisconsin or to Bethesda Lutheran Communities.
