The death of Barbara Leone Quale Belmore, 53, occurred March 2, 1991, at Mercy Hospital in Anoka.

She was a former resident of Kelliher, the daughter of Sig and Clara Quale. Clara Quale was owner of the local newspaper, the Kelliher Independent, and was a justice of the peace for many years.

Barbara Quale was a 1955 graduate of Kelliher High School. She married George Belmore in 1956. The couple moved to Elk River, where they have lived ever since.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, G. Charles, Donald of the metro area; one daughter, Carolyn, metro area; six grandchildren; and one sister, Carol of Brainerd. She was preceded in death by her parents.
