Mr. Collins worked at the Aluminum Company of America from 1939 until retiring in 1985. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1154 and American Legion Post 11. He also was a member of the Eagles Lodge.
Surviving are a daughter, Carol J. (Mrs. Robert) Thomson of Pleasant Lake; a stepson, Bill Williams; a stepdaughter, Cecelia Phillips, both of Lafayette; brother, Roy Collins of Lapel; a sister, Evelyn (Mrs. Charles) Dieterle of Lafayette; Catherine Barry, with whom he made his home; three grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and 16 step-great-grandchildren.
