He worked 27 years at Koontz Creamery in Westminster and retired from Howard Johnson making ice cream after 15 years. He was a life-long member of Sandy Mount United Methodist Church and enjoyed his flower gardens and traveling with his wife. He enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he is survived by children and spouses Roland H. Mann, Jr. and wife Joy of Westminster, George H. Mann and wife Diane of Hanover, PA, K. LuAnn Hively and husband Wayne of Mt. Airy, Eric C. Mann and wife Tanja of Westminster and Kirk Z. Mann and wife Debbie of Hampstead. Also survived by 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by sisters May White, Margie Bading and Marie Fisher, grandchildren Christopher Mann, Mary Beth Mann and Jayme Hively.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Sandy Mount Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.
